Gosport - Newcastle Cycle Ride

21st - 23rd December 2007

Gosport & Fareham RFC intend to carry out a sponsored cycle from Gosport, Hampshire to Kingston Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne to raise funds to ensure that Sam John (the ten-year old son of one of the players), receives the best possible treatment for his brain tumour and to enable Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust to further research, and hopefully develop a cure.

To help contribute to this unfortunate situation, we would also like to raise enough money to be able to pay for Sam and his family to fly to Newcastle, watch a Newcastle Falcons match, and see our team (including his father) complete the marathon ride.

We intend to depart Gosport in the evening of Friday 21st December, in order to arrive in Newcastle by 3pm on Sunday 23rd December in time for the match between Newcastle Falcons and Gloucester Rugby.
